Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actress from Germany and Romania. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz as a child. Her roles included lead characters in TV dramas as young as 16 years old. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, from Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film), was critically and critically acclaimed commercially. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra has been involved in numerous important international and national projects through the years. This includes the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon among others. She has also been a juror at the Transylvania International Film Festival as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.

Sarah was captivated by acting while she was still in the pre-school years. Her passion for acting started when her drama teacher noticed her running across his lawn in order to get to her the field hockey game at the right time. He advised her that she could leave the training to make it into the Richard III cast. Sarah was bitten by the acting bug while she was in junior high school. In order to avoid being delayed for practice in the field and to avoid being late for field-hockey, her drama instructor suggested that she skip her practice in favor to joining the cast of Richard III.
