Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for over a decade. Alexandra is famous for her roles as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her showbiz career early. Her roles included lead characters in television dramas as early at the age of 16. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. The film won an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominees featuring models. Alexandra is known for her involvement in many important projects in both the US and internationally. They include the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical mini-series Napoleon and many more. She also served part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
